ATTENTION ADVERTISING, COMMUNICATION, ENGLISH AND JOURNALISM MAJORS: COLLEGE LIVING MAGAZINE SEEKS INTELLIGENT, MOTIVATED AND TALENTED UNDERGRADUATE INTERNS

Founded in 2005, College Living is a quarterly free magazine dedicated to celebrating the essence of the collegiate experience in the cities of Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Through humorous, informative and compelling content that appeals to the common interests of the city’s most coveted demographic, CL captures the youthful exuberance that defines today’s college student.
The magazine, which enjoys a 20,000-plus circulation in the areas surrounding institutions such as Temple, St. Joseph’s, Villanova, La Salle, Drexel and University of Pennsylvania is currently seeking area undergraduates studying English, communication and/or journalism to serve as editorial interns in a variety of capacities. Though specific internship duties will be tailored to candidates’ strong points, the CL staff is currently looking for qualified candidates to contribute in the following ways:
    - Creative design/production work
    - Developing and shooting editorial photo layouts
    - Managing content and material for CL’s Web sites
    - Pitching and writing assigned stories and original articles

This is an excellent opportunity for writers, columnists, photographers and designers to work on the inside track of a publication other than a school newspaper. Solid writing/language skills are a must; background/experience in editorial work and a strong written or visual portfolio is a definite plus. Most importantly, CL interns must be motivated, independent thinkers. This is your chance to take the initiative and a widely distributed publication your own.

Though internship positions will not pay hourly, CL offers a variety of compensation packages. A $500 stipend, paid in full upon the competition of the internship, applies to all positions. Photographers will be paid on a per-shoot basis; graphic designers will receive compensation for completed projects, and so forth. Further details are available for serious applicants.
CL is more than willing to work with colleges and universities to parlay internship experience into college credit.
